IMG_1193.jpgDear President Trump,

Now that you are the president you work people like me. I do not support the appointment of Andy Puzder as head of US Department of Labor. Americans have fought hard for labor regulations which are a protection to working class citizens. I ask you to empathize with Americas living on $7.25 per hour, and raise the national minimum wage to $15 per hour.

“They have taken untold millions that they never toiled to earn
But without our brain and muscle not a single wheel can turn
We can break their haughty power gain our freedom when we learn
That the Union makes us strong.”  Ralph Chaplin

Sincerely
Carole Frances Lung

Official Communication General Information

In the wake of the election and inauguration of President Trump, the ILGWU has instigated a four-year campaign of official communications to local, state and national leaders of America.  Each week  a Mend America will stitch a patch as a symbol of  vigilance, and send an opinion note on issues related to trade, labor and immigration.   The same letter will then be sent via email, and called in.
